DINUBA — REGIONAL UPDATE, OCTOBER 22, 2026. Dinuba, in Tulare County, lies close to communities affected by widespread Fresno-area power interruptions during the October 21 storms. The figures published for Fresno County must not be transferred to Dinuba.
According to Sanger News, the California58 local newsroom following the Fresno County incidents, PG&E’s outage map showed a combined 9,702 customers affected in 14 outages across the Fresno and near-Selma area during a Wednesday afternoon, October 21 snapshot. Most of those cases were attributed to the storm. Earlier in the day, separate outages were reported in the Clovis and Sanger areas.
Those figures are historical observations, not proof that the same customers remained without power on October 22. PG&E may restore one circuit while continuing repairs on another.
Was Dinuba affected?
The underlying reports do not establish a separate Dinuba outage or customer total. Reports of outages around Selma, Sanger and Clovis illustrate how widespread storm effects can be across the Central Valley, but utility incident boundaries, not distance alone, determine which customers lost service.
How residents can follow conditions
Residents should consult their own provider’s status listing. School, business and traffic-light disruptions require their own local verification, even if a neighboring city experienced similar weather.
Customers can consult the PG&E outage map and the reporting line 1-800-743-5002. Stay clear of downed wires and report immediate hazards to 911. PG&E’s separately published October 22 Public Safety Power Shutoff forecast did not anticipate a planned PSPS on this date; that does not rule out accidental storm-related outages.
